Royal Canadian Army Service Corps
Ontario Region - Reunion 2007
7-8-9 September
Branch 480 Royal Canadian Legion
Ottawa, Ontario

Attendance at this years Reunion was just super with 85 for the Meet and Greet and 120 folks for the Reunion Dinner and Dance. The Staff of the Westboro Legion went all out to make this Reunion a special one.

The General Meeting was fairly short with a lot of business being covered. Our new executive this year is Steve Soulis as President, Ken Pierce as Vice President. Larry Maloney remaining as Secretary and Bert Diamond as Treasurer.

The Hall was beautifully decorated in the RCASC Blue, White and Gold, Table Cloths and Balloons to match. The nicely decorated cake with the real old RCASC Waggon sitting on top looked majestic.

The Head Table was piped in by Sgt Ron Lawrenson of the Cameron Highlanders of Ottawa. Our Guest Speaker was Ret'd Col. Lorne Rodenbush (A Great Speaker)

120 Members and Guests were treated to a wonderful dinner prepared and served by the members of RCL 480. A special treat when most attending had a chance to have their picture taken with the Corps Flag that was recently returned after flying in Afghanistan.

Ten donated door prizes was a treat with six dance prizes and two binders of Prints being Donated by our own Jim Keirstead and his lovely wife Robere.

Our Memorial Ceremony on Sunday was officiated by Cecil Millar at the Cenotaph on Richmond Road and topped off by our piper with Amazing Grace.

Next years Reunion will be in Hamilton, Ontario and the committee will be chaired by Murray Floyd.
